Stock Companion vs TipRanks

Both tools help you decide what to do with a stock, and they go about it differently. This page says which is which, including the parts where TipRanks is the better choice.

What TipRanks is

Aggregates Wall Street analyst ratings and price targets and scores the analysts themselves on their track record. Plans are Plus, Premium and Ultimate.

What TipRanks does better

Analyst coverage. TipRanks has years of rated analyst calls and the accuracy history to weight them, which is a dataset we do not have and do not claim to.

What we do that they do not

We score what was published, not what an analyst concluded. A reading by state-of-the-art AI models trained specifically on financial data over recent headlines moves the day the coverage moves, where an analyst rating moves when an analyst publishes — and both numbers, plus the headlines behind ours, are on the ticker page.

Which to pick

Stock Companion is the better fit for someone who wants the news reading rather than the analyst consensus. If what you want is the thing TipRanks does better above, use TipRanks — plenty of people sensibly use both.
