Stock Companion vs Finviz
Both tools help you decide what to do with a stock, and they go about it differently. This page says which is which, including the parts where Finviz is the better choice.
What Finviz is
A stock screener and market map with a very large set of filters, charts and fundamental data.
What Finviz does better
Screening, comfortably. Finviz's filter set and heat map are the fastest way to go from 'the whole market' to 'these fourteen names', and nothing here competes with that.
What we do that they do not
Once you have a name, we tell you what the news actually said about it and what that scores — read by state-of-the-art AI models trained specifically on financial data across recent headlines, with a signal and a risk band. A screener tells you a stock is cheap; it does not tell you the coverage turned last week.

Which to pick
Stock Companion is the better fit for someone who already screens elsewhere and wants the news layer on top. If what you want is the thing Finviz does better above, use Finviz — plenty of people sensibly use both.
